Ryan Meeks has over 17 years of experience working in the banking industry and academia. He is an effective communicator that has developed specialized skills in areas such as Curriculum Development, Strategic Planning, Process Design, Project Management, Research, Information Security, Software Quality Assurance, Application Support, and Quality Management.
Mr. Meeks has earned a B.Sc. in Information Technology from the University of Technology, Jamaica and completed his Post Graduate studies in Computer Science at the Norfolk State University in Virginia.
At Symptai, Mr. Meeks is the Manager of Cyber Security Services where he is responsible for conducting business analysis, quality assurance, overseeing teams that are responsible for conducting daily security tests and risk assessments to ensure clients receive quality service.
Prior to Symptai, Mr. Meeks served as a lecturer at the University of Technology, Jamaica within the School of Computing and Information Technology where he taught modules such as Computer Security, Enterprise Computing and Web Programming. Mr. Meeks also facilitated the growth of the cooperative education unit by serving as the coordinator for three years. During this period, he forged partnerships with over 30 companies and enrolled over 135 students. Mr. Meeks also served as software developer at Goldman Sachs in New Jersey before joining the University of Technology, Jamaica.
Mr. Meeks has been a member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers (IEEE) and the Jamaica Computer Society (JCS). He is also passionate about technology, cybersecurity and education and has participated in several community outreach initiatives centred around computer literacy.
